From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by the hotel owner and her helpful, friendly staff. I never saw anyone who worked at the hotel do anything else except smile and nothing was too much trouble. That was also true of the other guests who were all friendly and clearly loved the hotel too. The hotel's location couldn't be better for Ang Bang beach, which is across the quiet road and down a very short path. When we visited in late May, the water was really warm and our children (11 and 9) had so much fun playing in the waves. We spend more than one night in the sea until it was dark! The hotel's pool was perfect for our two children, deep enough for some proper swimming, and big enough for lots of fun and games! We had an apartment consisting of two rooms and a bathroom in between. The rooms were lovely and big, the air conditioning worked well and the only thing that could be looked at it a bit more space for hanging clothes. The shower was nice and big and very pleasant. Breakfast needs ordering the day before and there isn't a big variety especially for children, but I feel very harsh saying that. The local area has some good places to eat, and some not so good. The hotel can help you find the good ones, but we recommend Taste of the Sea and Thom's Bakery. A trip into Hoi An (£1 by Grab taxi and 10 mins) will take you to lot's more great food - including Miss Ly, which is the oldest restaurant in Hoi An, but still one of the best. KA Villa offers fantastic value for money and you will be sad to say goodbye to it! recommended excursions - Cham Island snorkelling, Basket boats (gimmicky, but has to be done!), Ba Na Hills Cable Car with Golden Hands Bridge (though don't bother with the theme park)

The room was big, sparkling clean, with a balcony overlooking a pretty little courtyard. We were greeted with fresh fruit, iced tea and big smiles from Nhung (the manager) and her team. To our absolute delight, as the hotel was not too busy at that moment, they offered us a free upgrade. The best feature by far is the wonderful staff, especially the manager, Ms.Nhung. She is extremely kind, friendly and helpful, and runs this little hotel in a very professional manner. They all went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and definitely contributed a lot to our whole wonderful experience in Hoi An. Every little detail was taken care of with so much kindness and consideration - from making sure the room was spotless, to drying and folding our laundry, and helping us cool down our scorching hot motorbike seat that we'd left in the sun all morning. :D KA villa is located just off An Bang beach, a mere two-minute walk from Tan Thanh beach. We actually found it way better than An Bang - not crowded at all, peaceful and pretty clean. It's also a 10-minute walk or a two-minute bike ride (free bicycles provided by the hotel) away from all the lovely seafood restaurants and cafes on the main beach, as well as a 10-minute ride from Hoi An old town. Breakfast was great, too. Their a-la-carte menu includes a good selection of local and Western options, and every single dish we had was excellent (don't miss out on their banh mi and fried rice!). The staff will gladly recommend local restaurants if you ask, and you are also free to order food from the outside for lunch and dinner, as the hotel doesn't have its own restaurant.

If the beach is too hot, you can rest by the pool, which has sunbeds and natural shade. The location is also good for exploring the surroundings: many sights are easily reached with a taxi, or you can grab a free bicycle from hotel (but beware the traffic, it's hectic). The staff give you a list of recommendations about local restaurants - there are quite a few in walking distance. Won't recommend Barefoot beach club though, got a bad food poisoning there. All the nightlife and bars are in 15-min walk distance, so it's very relaxing and quiet at night. The rooms are very clean and spacious (we got a free upgrade :)), the bed is very comfortable and air conditioning is effective. The breakfast is excellent! It's not buffet, but still has enough western and Vietnamese varieties you wouldn't get tired of it in 2 weeks. The cereals are the best! The hotel also offers spa with a discount for residents, which is a nice touch after a busy day of exploring. The owner/manager and the staff are exceptionally caring, this is the place we felt most welcome in Vietnam.

We have been travelling in Vietnam for nearly 2 months. KA Villa is a fantastic place to stay. Its been our favourite by far. The service, accommodation, staff and the owner were exceptional. We stayed 14 nights and still didn't want to leave! It is a thoughtfully located boutique Hotel just across from the quieter end of An Bang beach. We were so well cared for by the staff. They even provide a free washing service. They also made wonderful recommendations for places to eat with good cheap restaurants nearby, including, our favourite, next door to KA Villa..Our breakfasts were delicious too. This place keeps getting 10/10 and this score is so well deserved as it sure delivers. We will be back!
